Classic Krav Maga

Krav Maga literally means "Combat – Contact, or touch" or "Close Quarter Combat".

The Israel Defense Forces (I.D.F.) needed a system that would work quickly for anyone and everyone. Over the years, the I.D.F. developed the Contact Combat Program.

The original program of physical training and self-defense of the Israeli army was described in the book FIGHTING FIT (1983) by Colonel David Ben-Asher, the former head of hand-to-hand combat training and physical education of the armed forces of Israel. Classic Krav Maga is based on this program.
